Poppy Easel Card...............

Good evening hope you've all had a great weekend...I've been doing a bit of crafting and also getting ready for my sister and hubby's visit next week...I may be missing for a while whilst they're here...but just maybe whilst they're chilling in the sunshine I might just sneak off for half an hour and do something crafty...LOL

Well my main reason for this visit is to post the card I've made to enter in the Stamping Sensations September Challenge...haven't entered a challenge for an absolute age due to mojo going off the boil...but as Mr Mo is finally making an appearance once again I thought this is as good a time as any to start entering challenges again.  Hope you like my entry.....

The cutting file used is a design by Rae Carr...I used it in portrait mode to comply with the shape of the image.  The digi stamp is one by Teri Sherman...I do love her stamps...and as always I coloured the image with Promarkers.  The image and sentiment were backed with black card and then I added some faux stitches..black gems and bakers twine to finish.  I also sponged green ink around the cutouts but it doesn't show up too well in the photo.

Well I'm afraid that's it for this visit...thank you for visiting...until next time take care.

  3. What a beautifully designed card, Maureen. The frame complements that gorgeous image perfectly, and I like how you've kept the embellishments simple so as not to detract from the poppies. Your colouring of them is superb - I thought it was a printed picture at first! Thank you for sharing it with us at Stamping Sensations this month.
