Grandson's Birthday Card

Just a flying visit to post the card I made for my youngest grandson's birthday next week....he's Thomas The Tank Engine crazy and I was given this image by someone so I could "theme" his card. I printed the image off three times so I could decoupage two of them....not that they show up too well as being decoupaged...the number four was a cardboard element that I embossed and of course the "today" is peel-off letters.



Another digi scrapbook page...a fun page I did the other evening...I love this photograph of Mathew and have wanted to do something with it for a while...the photo was taken last Christmas...I did a cut-out in DSA2...in the original photo he was surrounded by presents....LOL !!

Finally New Cards...and a bit of a chat!!

I know I've been very lax in updating this blog of mine of late...apologies...but here's a surprise I've actually three cards to upload today...LOL...one was for my niece, one for my son and the other for my grandson Ryan. The decoupage sheets apart from the Man United one were freebie downloads from The Papercraft Tutor. I'm also uploading a couple or so of my recent digi scrapbook pages.....I'm really getting to enjoy doing them. Hope anyone who reads my blog.....that's if anyone does...lol...that you enjoy looking at my efforts!!

We had a great time when my sister and hubby were visiting.....they're back home in the UK now but it wont be too long before we're seeing everyone again.....as I've mentioned in a previous posting we're spending Christmas and the New Year in the UK......I'm really looking forward to that. On Sunday we have my son and girlfriend coming over for a visit...they're only here for a week this time...he wants to get some golfing in with his dad......that'll be the last of our visitors for this year.

We've had quite a busy time of it over the summer months and this couple or so weeks but I must admit enjoyable.

I had a brilliant day last Saturday...spent the day being well and truly pampered.....among the treatments I had was a facial, a massage, a bit of reflexology and a stint in the gym and hot tub.....I could really get used to all that...LOL...it was great !! Never spent a day like that before but I'd certainly do it again.

Well as promised here's my uploads.....hope to upload again soon.....I keep saying that don't I but now I'm beginning to have a bit more time it just could happen...LOL !!

A Quick Post.........

Hello again from a very dismal looking part of Spain.....at least the rain has stopped though.....but I have a sneaky feeling the sun isn't going to bother making any sort of an appearance today.....but then again you should never say never....LOL !!

Not a lot has been happening craftwise or otherwise with me.....I've just spent a bit of time popping onto various sites and have still lots to catch up on but I'm sure I'm going to get there in the end.

I'm looking forward to this coming Monday though and no mistake my sister and hubby are coming over for another visit and we received an email a couple of days ago from my son saying they had booked their flights for coming over in October. November's free.....LOL.....then December I can get all excited at the prospect of spending Christmas and New Year in England.....oh yes!!!!!

Well in my last post I said I was spending a fair bit of time digital scrapbooking......so I thought seeing as I haven't any new cards to show as yet I would post a couple or so of my layouts........




......well for my sins there they are...well some of them.....hope you enjoyed looking.....I know I have a lot to learn and really I'm going to......LOL......next post I'm hoping to have a card or two to show you !!

Hi...............

Just to let anyone who's interested know I'm still around and about.....LOL.....have really neglected my blog these past few weeks but I'll be back shortly posting as usual. I must have a good catch up too.....haven't had a really good blog hop for weeks and must visit my faves...I must have missed loads!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to say I haven't made any cards for long enough now and need to get my hand back in.....anyways I will need to start making my Christmas cards sooner than later!! Also have birthday cards to make for my son and two grandsons so they will help to kick-start my mojo.

I've been spending a lot of time recently on a new hobby to add to my list......digi scrapping......I am still scrapping the conventional way as well as...I've got a half finished page that I must cut out the title for.....that will give me something to post!! LOL

The digi scrapbooking is quite addictive really.....to be perfectly honest I always thought it was kind of cheating......but I am now going to eat my words and take it all back because I've found it and am finding it really really fun and I'm enjoying it!!!

Well not much of a post I'll agree but its a bit of an explanation and as I said earlier I'll be back posting very soon.

Sketch...OR...Use A Bit Of Pink..........

As the title says for this week's challenge over at One Stitch At A Time you have to either use the sketch posted.....or use a bit of pink somewhere on the card.....or do both! I did exactly that with the card I'm entering...I did both...used the sketch and also used pink.................




For the card I used................

An image from Stitchy Bear Stamps..."Butterflylove"...this is one of my favourite images.

Sentiment from Pollycrafts.
Cuttlebugged the mat for the image.
Card, background paper, pearls brads, lace and pearl stick-ons are from my stash.
I used a Gelly Roll Stardust pen on the wings but it doesn't show too well.....and I don't know what is happening to my photography but its not at all good at the minute!!

Two Posts In One Day.....Phew!!

I did say I was going to try to post more often.......LOL !!




I entered this layout as my take on Sketch 208 at Scrapbook Challenges.....the photographs are my eldest grandson Ryan taken when he turned one back in 1999. I love the large photograph of him he loved the camera......more often than not he used to wake up like that.....pity his dad wasn't the same........LOL !! Joking just in case..............LOL !!

I'd like to do as many of the challenges as I can......scrapbooking isn't really my forte so the more I do hopefully the better I'll get at it....practice makes perfect.....well so they say......LOL

Pollycrafts Monday Challenge

I'm going to enter this mini album in the Pollycraft Challenge #54.....theme being "Love and Marriage". The "Amor" sentiment on the front of the album is Spanish for love......so I'm hoping that it will suit.





I haven't put any photographs inside as yet.....that's something I have got to get around to doing.....eventually it's going to be given to my son and his girlfriend.....once I've sorted out which photographs to put in it of course! LOL

I made the album at a craft class a while ago.....I'm not totally sold on the ribbons though.....I dont know whether I should take them off or not.....but until I decide I'll just leave them on.

Well this was short and sweet.....but that's it for this posting....will try to post a bit more often.....I have a few weeks before my sister and husband come out to visit again so I'm going to try and craft as much as I can. Watch this space!! LOL
