A Belated Happy New Year...............

Well I'm finally back after my long absence...I can't believe how long it's been since my last post...I've given the blog a new look and given myself the determination to do better and update more often.....I was a dismal failure last year I admit...!!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year...our holiday in the UK was lovely and enjoyable in as much as we got to see family and friends but on the down side I was left nursing a bad cold for the best part of our stay but I know for sure I wouldn't have been on my own in that respect..!!
I have so many photos of the cards I made before Christmas but honestly if I posted them all I'd bore you into a stupor so I'm only going to post some of them...hope you like!!
Before I do that I have to tell you I finally got to buying a Silhouette Cameo...it only arrived yesterday and as yet I haven't given it a test run but hopefully over the next day or so I'll be back to show something I've made with it.....watch this space...!!

Now for the cards...these first two are cards I made for two of my sons...both having December birthdays.

Shirleys Cards...........

Hi I hope you're having a lovely day and also looking forward to a great weekend.....!!  I've just popped on to post a couple of cards made with cutting files purchased from Shirleys Cards. If you're interested or a bit curious pop over and have a look see...it costs nothing to look..!!  Anyways these are the cards in question...hope you like........

 Love the design of this card and I was really pleased with the finished result although the quality of the photo leaves a lot to be desired...as I've said before I really must get a new camera...might just have a word with dear old Santa...LOL  I'm really into silhoutte images at the moment.....as you may have noticed with previous posts...LOL

This card is so sweet I don't think it needs a lot of embellishing...I think it looks fine with just the silver cord and snowflake...but that's just my personal opinion......!!

Something Just A Tad Different......

Not a card or an ATC this time but a Christmas decoration...a door hanger to be precise...LOL  I made it using a design by Tina Fitch downloaded from CraftsuPrint and cut out using my Craft Robo.  Old CR has been having a right good airing of late after having been neglected for quite some time...but now I'm thinking of buying myself  the Silhouette Cameo as an early Christmas present...ssshhh....CR's not going to be totally redundant though I'll still have quite a bit of use for him I'm sure.  I've been checking out the Cameo for a while now and it seems to tick all the boxes for me...watch this space...!!  Well having said that I'll get to the business on hand........tra la....

Hope you like it...I was really pleased with the end result myself I have to say...even hubby was suitably impressed ..LOL...!!

Just A Quick Visit......

Hi hope you are all well...it's been really miserable here these past two or three days...but as they say "chin up and keep smiling"...LOL
I really just wanted to make a very quick visit to post a few cards made recently...will post more in a couple of days...so here goes hope you like.........

Next is my ATC I put forward for the ATC Challenge Swap "Weather" over on Paper Digital Art and Imagesbykim...nothing serious just great fun........

Wow am I on a roll or what...lol...probably not...lol...anyways the next two cards I'm going to upload are made up from Silhouette cut files designed by Rae Carr and bought again from CraftsuPrint........well of course...LOL

I've been spending most of my time these past few days printing off sheets, cutting out sheets...with and without Rob (Craft Robo)...and now are stacked in neat little piles waiting for me to put them together...will post as completed...!!

So here we go.........

An Assortment Of Cards Part 2.........

Well here I am again as promised with the next batch of cards...this time they're all Christmas themed...hope you enjoy looking...as is normally the case all the sheets and cutting files were purchased from CraftsuPrint...!!

An Assortment Of Cards Part 1......

Hi and a good afternoon to one and all.....that is if anyone is out there...LOL

Well my sister and her hubby are back in the UK...went back last Sunday...the last of my visitor's for this year...I love it when the family come over to see us. Going back to their stay though we had one humdinger of a storm...we picked them up from the airport on the Thursday and in the early hours of Friday morning the storm started...I wont go into a blow by blow account of it though suffice to say it wasn't very nice...we didn't have the terrible floods that occured for some because we live on higher ground but we were cut off from the village for a while...in fact we couldn't get anywhere because of road closures...we were without water for 6 days but fortunately didn't lose the electricity which was a big surprise.  Thankfully we didn't have any real damage either but did have a bit of clearing up to do.  We were so lucky because when you see and read about the devastation others experienced it's terrible... it made our experience pale into insignificance that I can tell you...!!  Things are beginning to settle down now and we are able to get to places again but there are still a lot of diversions in place as there are so many roads under repair or waiting to be repaired...one or two of them you just wonder how they are going to do it.

Now something a bit more uplifting...well sort of...this Christmas and the New Year we will be spending in the UK...yes, yes, yes...so that's something nice we have to look forward to...it will be our lovely Laila's first Christmas too.  I can't wait to have another little cuddle with her...we see her on Skype regularly but it's not the same is it...she's coming along great...she's 7 months now...can't remember if I said that in my last posting...I know I'm biased  but she's just gorgeous...!!!!!

And now to the matter in hand...upload some of my cards...so here goes.....

The silhouette cards were cut on my Craft Robo...he's so glad to have been dusted off and being loved again...LOL...!!  Almost forgot all sheets for the cards were purchased from CraftsUPrint...there is a link on the top of the right sidebar if anyone is interested.
